ControllerNashville, TN 37215 (Burton Hills)Direct Hire$90-100k DOE• Position will be fully onsite• Annual bonus potential and comprehensive benefitsKelly is seeking a Controller to work with our client in the organic farming and livestock production industry on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a family-owned and run operation that is experiencing strong growth!The Controller Will• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements• Manage the company's budgeting process, including annual budgets and periodic forecasts• Analyze financial performance and variances from budget, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions• Supervise and manage the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintenance of accounting records• Reconcile all bank and general ledger accounts as well as online accounts such as Amazon, Clover, etc.• Ensure timely filing and remittance of payroll and sales taxes• Manage daily Farm sales (wholesale) and store sales (retail)• Create and maintain detailed fixed asset records• Manage all outstanding notes payable• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, cost management, and investment evaluation• Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and recommending strategies for improvement• Perform cost analysis by product (grain and livestock)• Evaluate and implement financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy• Oversee the integration of new financial technologies and tools• Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports in the future (no direct reports starting out)Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Controller with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations• Experience working with smaller organizations preferred• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (experience with QBO is a big plus)• Must be proficient in MS 365 products, especially Excel• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• High level of integrity and attention to detailThis is an urgent need!
