Distribution Clerk needed for logistics site in the Romeoville / Bolingbrook area, Illinois$20/hrJob SummaryThe successful candidate will become a vital part of a professional distribution team and effectively assist in continually meeting the changing demands of our industry and our customers. Will be responsible for assisting in the operation of a fast-paced, high volume distribution center, assisting with the flatbed pipe, TL, LTL and courier shipments> Will work in collaboration with other departments.Essential Duties And Responsibilities• Use our operating system-based software (Infoflo & TMS) to manage the incoming and outgoing orders and transfers.• Assign (dispatch) the daily workload for the DC employees according to the existing service and quality standards defined by IPEX.• Complete all associated shipping and customs documents for truckload & courier shipments, ensuring timely shipping.• Operate within a high-paced environment and professional atmosphere, which requires constant adjustment of priorities and workloads.• Provide instructions to drivers.• Once cross-trained, fill in as the LTL or Flatbed shipper in their absence.• Work in collaboration with the Customer Service & Logistics teams to ensure customer needs are met and issues with orders/transfers are addressed in a timely basis.• Work directly with drivers & customers and represent the company with integrity.• Assist in customer complaint investigations and processes.• Evenly distribute workloads through dispatch process to maintain a positive level of picker activity.• Organize and file all paperwork daily to ensure ease of access.• Will be responsible for completing select monthly reports.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE• 2-3 years of Inventory Management experience.• High School Education/GED and/or equivalent Inventory Management experience.• Experience in warehousing• Skills in planning, budgeting, organizing, controlling, and communicating are required.• The ability to develop effective relationships, provides leadership, and integrates diverse organizations and individuals toward profitability objectives are critical.REASONING ABILITY• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions.• Need to be able to listen and effectively understand our employee’s needs and be able to help them effectively understand the company goals, as well as our customers.Communication & Office Skills• Ability to read and write effectively and have strong communication skills.• The ability to operate office machinery is required, as well as to effectively operate on the computer systems and all required customer systems as well necessary personal computer programs.Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication.
