Transportation Coordinator

Position Title: Transportation CoordinatorLocation: Baton Rouge, LAPay: $21/hour (depending on experience)Work Schedule• Monday-Friday• 7 AM - 4 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:30 PMJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join our customers logistics team. The ideal candidate will coordinate and schedule multiple carriers for chemical shipments at facilities across North America. This role requires interfacing with management and various departments and entails a variety of reporting and problem resolution functions.Preferred Candidate Profile• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics/transportation scheduling or customer service• Minimum of 2 years of college or equivalent work history• Strong analytical skills• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)• Experience with chemicals or hazardous materials is a plusResponsibilities Include• Locating carrier capacity for open shipments• Tendering shipment notifications to 3rd party carriers• Working within a customized Transportation Management System• Providing resolutions for daily exceptions• Tracking and reporting non-conformances• Supporting and managing clients• Conducting various data analysis/reportingRequirements• Must have Excel experience and pass an Excel testIf you are a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this dynamic position.As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
