The Key Account Sales Manager - Walmart will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies and tactics. Directly responsible for expanding new relationships and cultivating existing account relationships by:

  • Understanding our customer's strategic challenges and priorities and then driving alignment between customers' key objectives and Pacific Cycle.
  • Identifying key decision makers and coordinating necessary meetings (including Top to Tops) with the account and Pacific Cycle teams.
  • Identifying sales opportunities to drive growth and profitability for Pacific Cycle and our customers.
  • Prioritizing opportunities critical to the customer/account – includes in-line, new category, and promotional.
  • Ensuring professional sales administration and planning (including forecast/report sales accuracy) and develop and deliver account proposals and market plans.
  • Responsible for managing the line review process for their respective account – includes efficiently utilizing all Dorel Sports resources (channel, product, marketing, PR, sales analytics).
  • Maintain annual joint business planning schedule and documents for the assigned customer.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Deliver top-line sales revenue and profit targets.
  • Analytics; rigorously use POS data, market data, and available financial, brand, and shopper metrics and trends to maximize sales, market share, and profits.
  • Build exceptionally strong customer relationships at the Merchant, Sr. Merchant and Divisional Merchandising Manager (DMM) levels and facilitate connectivity in other functional areas.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute annual Joint Business Plans on assigned accounts, engaging all key stakeholders at both customer and Dorel Sports.
  • Work closely with product development teams and lead/own the annual product line review process, recommending price/spec/platform requirements to buyers, in order to maximize our share of business.
  • Manage sales allowance programs and promotional funding to maximize top and bottom line results.
  • Develop, maintain, and own monthly/quarterly/yearly sales forecasts; work closely with demand planning to develop specific and accurate buy plans.
  • Monitor and dashboard market share metrics in all channels of distribution, vs our key competitors.
  • Work closely with marketing to implement strategies and tactics that assist our customers in effectively and creatively winning with consumers and end-users through promotions, packaging, merchandising.
  • Analyze sales & POS data and provide accurate forecasting to ensure operational efficiency and high levels of service; provide bi-weekly POS dashboards to exec team for review.
  • Provide appropriate sales planning and coordination by working with marketing and product management in order to create comprehensive sales plans and product launches.
  • Manage expenses on time and to budget, and demonstrate exceptional administrative organization, to ensure cross functional collaborators' time is not wasted.
  • Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree is required, Business or related field is preferred
  • A minimum of five years of experience in sales, Outdoors sports preferred
  • Previous experience calling on a Regional or National Account HQ is required
  • Experience with Walmart Account Management preferred
  • Previous experience in the bike industry is preferred
  • Excellent facilitator with strong presentation and Microsoft proficiency
  • Strong problem-solving skills, time management and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to make decision autonomously
  • Ability to build customer focused relationships
  • Periodic and overnight travel required
