Senior Director, Sephora Team Leader
SALES – LOCATION-FREE

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are tenacious, passionate, and fearlessly kind.

Coty’s US Senior Director, Sephora Team Leader, is responsible for establishing selling strategies to deliver retail sales goals (*detailed KPIs listed below) and in-store excellence, while strengthening account penetration at the headquarter level. This role leads overall strategy and execution of our Coty sales priorities for Sephora consisting of all Coty Luxury brands.

They also own critical organizational expectations – leading, developing, and inspiring a diverse team to deliver perfect execution, every day. VP will also lead incremental special project work.

The Senior Director, Sephora Team Leader will report directly to the Senior Vice President of US Luxury Sales and will sit on the US Sales Lead team. Key stakeholders include the VP Specialty Multi Sales, Sr Director of Education & Events, VP Trade Marketing and VP Field Sales, Specialty/Multi Channel.

They are a well-rounded commercial professional with experience in the fragrance industry, a background in selective distribution preferably and license experience to lead and evolve the brands’ presence locally, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:
Proactive Business Leadership: Continuous strengthening of channel, retailer and regional business understanding, leveraging data analytics to maximize internal and external negotiations, achieving seasonal retail sales goals, brand rank and share targets while improving ROI via fixed cost and A&CP efficiencies. Regularly analyze business and communicate key successes, opportunities, and future potential risks to US SVP.
Inspirational Organizational Leadership: Attracting best field talent, partnering with analytics team to develop channel retail sales & event targets and part-time selling budget allocations, while building culture of accountability. Coaching, developing, and retaining Full and Part-Time teams to deliver/exceed business results.
Collaboration: Ongoing Partnership with Multi-Functional teams (Sell-Thru, E-Commerce, Education, Trade-Marketing, Local Marketing), proactive sharing with Channel Partners, representing Sephora needs in annual business planning process.
Communication: Develop and deploy sales goals to team. Drive solutions-focused and actionable communication from Corporate to the retailer and our field teams.
Stewardship Compliance: Sales plans executed in accordance with US Luxury Commercial Strategy, Brand Equity/Fashion House and Retailer Guidelines. All investments aligned w/ budget & approved vendor guidelines and delivered +/- 2% seasonal accuracy.

GTN optimization
Retail $ / %vsYA (with disproportionate Top Door Acceleration)
Brand Rank / Regional Market Share (where applicable)
Visual Week/KCP/Retailer Event/Launch Calendar
Space/Location Merchandising Everyday
JBP aligned and executed with retailer
Budgets deployed on-time and managed within +/- 2% monthly accuracy
Quarterly performance coaching discussions with direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Intermediate to Advanced Computer Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Previous team leader experience with an organization >5 people.
8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience: 2+ years’ experience within Specialty Store Channel required;
Exceptional management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven knowledge of industry trends and best practices and ability to work across functional areas.

Desirable:
Prior team leader sell-in experience
