Job title: Creative

Reports to: Creative Director

Contacts: ECD, Head of Creative Services, Creative Directors, Creatives, Editors, Producers, Account Handlers

Summary:

Deliver the creative vision of project(s) and make creative decisions to deliver the most effective communications solution to the client brief.

Responsibilities:

  • Get immersed in the client brief and the Maverick creative treatment, across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Research and stay up to date, particularly with social platforms, finding new, inventive ways to engage audiences online.
  • Develop Proposal(s) – scripting, sequences to be captured, shot, storyboards, graphics, music choice, sound, key stylistic references, production/logistic notes etc.
  • Perform “hands on” capture, design, editing, animation etc. as required.
  • ‘Own’ the creative direction and quality of projects throughout production.
  • Support Creative Directors as a creative excellence gatekeeper – great attention to detail and always pushing for highest quality creative.
  • Make and check media versions.
  • Look after the project data.

Targets/Objectives:

  • Creative work meets (and exceeds!) client expectations i.e. is “on-brief”.
  • High level of attention to detail and standards on all elements of work from documentation to project delivery. Keen eye for spotting errors and inconsistencies.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Hands on design, editing, animation skills.
  • Ability to take, ideate and respond to multiple briefs at all stages (pitch through to post-production.
  • Well organised with experience in media admin / management and quality control.
  • Great creative problem solver – thinks outside of the box.
