C.W. Hayden is seeking a Purchasing Clerk, to be based in the Auburn office.   


Requirements of the Purchasing Clerk:
  • Experience in purchasing or procurement preferred, not required. 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to commute to the Auburn office, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Clerk:
  • Responsible for Purchase Order Management, to include purchase order generation, and ensuring accuracy in pricing, parts, and quantities. 
  • Vendor relations and returns, including capturing and submitting damage claims for inventory returns. 
  • Customer service regarding returns and Return Merchandise Authorizations. 
  • Receiving and Inventory Management, to include investigation of any issues, and processing paperwork for inventory returns. 
  • Managing tool repairs by creating special orders and generating PO’s. 


C.W. Hayden is an Industrial and Marine Specialist located in Auburn, Maine. Since 1948, C.W. Hayden has supplied manufacturing companies with consumable products. They represent the most current products and methods available to get the job done correctly and efficiently.
