Business Operations Lead

As Business Operations Lead, you will be responsible for leading strategically-important, cross-functional projects that will enable us to scale our healthcare service across the country. You will report to our Chief Operating Officer and thrive in navigating ambiguity, are data-driven in how you make decisions, bring structure and process to complex problems and are both strategic and tactical in how you move initiatives forward. You are mission-driven and have experience working cross-functionally in a healthcare consulting, investment banking, or provider organization. Ideally, you have management experience, but this is not a requirement. This position offers an opportunity to define the future of obesity medicine across the country and to make a significant impact on the lives of patients by helping them improve their overall health.


Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional projects involving Operations, Product, Growth, Clinical, and G&A teams 
  • Build a deep understanding and empathy for our adult and adolescent metabolic health patients, and our adult primary care patients 
  • Build a trusting and collaborative relationship with other functions at the company, including (but not limited to) Clinical Operations, Practice Operations, Patient Support, Product, Growth and Finance 
  • Break down complex problems into manageable parts and actionable timelines 
  • Prioritization and Resource Management: Prioritize competing projects based on impact, with the ability to make clear recommendations on project scope and direction 
  • Gather feedback from across the organization, align on priorities, and drive accountability to execute strategic projects 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data to quantify, track and adjust strategies as the organization grows and identifies areas where we need to quantify outcomes 
  • Work with our Analytics team to understand data sources and data quality 
  • Decide how to visualize and then use data to proactively identify areas that need additional focus or attention 
  • Talent Acquisition and Team Building: Recruit and build a world-class team of strategic operations professionals. 
  • Implement a rigorous interview and hiring process 
  • Inspire and convince top talent to join our mission-driven team  


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Management, or other relevant field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred 
  • 5-10 years of experience in healthcare consulting, investment banking, provider operations or a care delivery startup 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in using data to inform strategic decisions 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across all levels of the organization 
  • Self-motivation and drive, with a demonstrated ability to deliver on projects from concept to implementation with minimal coaching 
  • Proficiency in project management 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment
