As SVP of Finance, you will lead the financial strategy and operations to support knownwell’s growth goals. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while staying compliant with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring experience in insurance-based, hybrid care delivery models, a track record of success in scaling finance functions, and expertise in capital raises.
Responsibilities - Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the Board of Directors, ensuring clear communication of financial performance and strategic initiatives
- Define and drive continuous improvements across key financial metrics; regularly partner and communicate with the CEO, Board, and leadership team on financial priorities to scale the business
- Lead the revenue cycle management function, ensuring best-in-class revenue collection
- Collaborate with senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making through financial insights and analyses
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and financial reporting standards
- Closely monitor cash needs and manage relationships with investors, auditors, and financial institutions to facilitate funding and investment opportunities
- Partner with actuarial resources to price and model value-based care contracts
- Support the CEO in corporate development activities, including evaluating M&A opportunities, conducting due diligence, structuring and closing transactions
- Manage accounting to facilitate AP/AR workflow, monthly/quarterly close processes, financial reporting, audits, and preparation of financial statements
- Grow and lead a finance team over time, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 12+ years of financial management experience, with a focus on healthcare services in growth stage companies
- Knowledge of corporate practice of medicine funds flow management in both fee-for-service and at-risk, value-based payment models
- Deep knowledge in the financial implications of a hybrid-care delivery business (in-person and virtual healthcare services)
- Deep knowledge in fee-for-service commercial reimbursement, as well as government payors
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize patterns and trends in complex financial data
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven track record in financial leadership roles within early growth companies, demonstrating the ability to build scalable financial processes and support rapid organizational expansion
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of P&L, profitability analysis, and proficient knowledge of GAAP accounting
- Experience in fundraising and managing investor relations
