Shop Operations Manager

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and is a leading provider of AI-powered autonomous vehicle technology committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company is developing an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack for driverless commercial trucking applications. Kodiak’s unique modular hardware approach integrates sensors into a streamlined sensor-pod structure that is purpose-built for perception, scalability, and maintainability. The company autonomously delivers freight daily for its commercial customers across the Sun Belt states and for Atlas Energy in the Permian Basin. Kodiak also leverages its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.


Kodiak is hiring a Shop Manager for our facility in Odessa, TX. As Shop Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of our facility. You will lead and direct our team of technicians, oversee daily operations, manage inventory, and ensure the shop runs like a well-oiled machine. Your ability to keep operations efficient, organized, and high-performing will be crucial to supporting Kodiak’s mission to revolutionize autonomous trucking.


In this role, you will:
  • Lead & Supervise – Provide direction and support to our team of technicians, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee Daily Operations – Manage workflows, assign tasks, and ensure all maintenance, repairs, and servicing are completed on time.
  • Manage Inventory & Supplies – Keep track of parts, tools, and facility supplies, ensuring we have everything needed to keep our fleet running.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance – Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Optimize Efficiency – Continuously improve shop processes to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination – Work closely with suppliers and partners to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Facility Oversight – Ensure the Odessa facility remains in top condition, coordinating maintenance and improvements as needed.

  • Leadership & Experience – You have 5+ years of experience in a shop or maintenance facility management role, with a proven track record of leading teams.
  • Technical Know-How – Experience working in the trucking, logistics, or automotive industries is a huge plus.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset – You excel at troubleshooting challenges and finding creative solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Organizational Skills – You know how to prioritize tasks, manage inventory, and streamline workflows efficiently.
