Komatsu offers excellent benefits, competitive pay, annual bonus potential, and annual merit reviews.Key Job Responsibilities• Work safe and be an advocate for safety.• Collects and analyzes the cost components and financial data for business unit products, usage, labor efficiency, and processes to assess and identify areas for improvement.• Actively Initiates, monitors, and drives cost-out initiatives and projects within the business unit functions including engineering, quality, sourcing, production value stream teams, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain to ensure product cost competitiveness.• Reports to leadership and organization on the current state of our product costs and cost optimization projects within the business unit.• Evaluates, develops, and supports continuous improvement of qualified suppliers to drive cost savings.• Liaisons with Category Managers, plant purchasing, and support negotiations as requested.• Conduct thorough cost-benefit analysis for proposed changes or improvements.• Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential issues related to cost-savings initiatives• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.• Communicate project goals, progress and outcomes to stakeholders at various levels.Qualifications/Requirements• Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Business. An associate’s degree in combination with relevant working experience in Purchasing, Materials, or Engineering background with a specialized knowledge on a focused group of commodities will be considered.• Demonstrated experience with and ability to manage projects, from inception to completion within constraints and deadlines, particularly those focused on cost reduction and process optimization.• Strong ability to analyze data, perform cost-benefit analysis and identify cost-savings opportunities.• Ability to make decisions and solve practical problems with a variety of variables in situations where standardization may be limited.• Self-driven, results oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision.• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.• Has a high level of competency with SAP analysis, data, and reporting, as well as Excel, Power Point, and Power BI.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.• Must possess the ability to multi-task and work successfully in a multi-functional team.• Knowledge of mining, heavy equipment, and manufacturing processes.• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.• Certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma preferred.Additional InformationKomatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
