Korn Ferry is partnered with a provider of industrial and commercial contractor services, including industrial plant maintenance and construction services.Position OverviewOur client is looking for an experienced Finance Leader to serve as a strategic partner of the executive team and the CEO achieve the organization’s vision, goals, and objectives. The CFO is an effective, relationship building leader responsible for directing the financial functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations.The CFO will be responsible for managing, directing, and leading the accounting and finance department, which includes Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting and IT.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Possess and perform with an executive level knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, and operational functions of the organization, and support the CEO and executive management team in achieving the organization’s vision, goals, and objectives.• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, operating independently, effectively, and within the timelines of agreed upon initiatives.• Lead the accounting department in developing the processes/procedures necessary to ensure regulatory compliance, proper records maintenance, and adequate accounting controls in support of Company operations.• Prepare for and participate in monthly project reviews with the CEO, executive staff, and project managers to evaluate job performance, assess risks and develop action plans.• Support operations in managing cash flow on projects and change order management.• Function as an advisor to the CEO on financial aspects of various contracts and perform contract reviews with regard to risk mitigation.• Collaborate with peers and employees to leverage shared knowledge among departments and sister companies.• Motivate and advance the accounting, finance and IT departments to ensure alignment with the Company’s operational vision and able to empower direct reports to perform at even higher levels. Instill an attitude of service in the finance organization.Qualifications• MBA in accounting/finance, or related academic discipline is strongly preferred• 10-15+ years of professional experience including progressive senior management positions in accounting or finance• CPA accreditation, Viewpoint Vista and OneStream experience preferred.• Qualified candidate will possess industry and/or local market experience• Strong working knowledge of FASB, SOX, IRS, DBA, Federal and State regulations as they apply to the essential functions of this position, including lump sum accounting and ASC 606 experience.• Familiarity with construction contract language, including previous experience with Federal contracts, terms and construction accounting for a union contractor.SE# 510681951
