We are a dynamic organization backed by private equity, with ambitious growth plans and a commitment to building a top-tier finance team.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead and build out our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This role is critical in shaping the financial future of our company as we continue to scale. The ideal candidate will bring a strong FP&A background, proven experience in building and managing finance teams, and a deep understanding of the private equity environment.Key Responsibilities:• FP&A Leadership: Develop and lead the FP&A function, including the design and implementation of financial models, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.• Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.• Financial Strategy: Partner with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.• Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, board members, and investors.• Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the financial health of the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.• Investment & Capital Management: Collaborate with private equity partners on capital structure optimization, cash flow management, and investment strategies.• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.• Technology & Tools: Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.Qualifications:• Experience: 8-10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong emphasis on FP&A. Experience in a private equity-backed company is highly preferred.• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and lead finance teams in a high-growth environment.• Skills: Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA is a plus.• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.• Location: Hybrid work arrangement preferred, with the ability to work from the NYC area.
