They foster a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment, and we are looking for a skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join the finance team and help drive our continued growth.Position Overview:The Senior Fund Accountant will play a pivotal role in the accounting and financial reporting of the firm’s investment funds. This individual will be responsible for overseeing fund operations, managing the fund accounting process, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fund accounting in a Private Equity environment, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Fund Accounting:• Manage the day-to-day accounting for private equity funds, including cash management, capital calls, distributions, and fund expenses.• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for the investment funds.• Reconcile fund accounts and ensure proper recording of all transactions.Investor Reporting:• Assist in preparing investor reports, capital account statements, and other required financial documents.• Coordinate the preparation and distribution of capital calls and distributions to investors.Valuation & Performance Analysis:• Work closely with the investment team to ensure accurate valuations of portfolio companies.• Monitor fund performance and assist in generating periodic performance reports for investors.Audit & Compliance:• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process for the funds.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements.Process Improvement:• Identify opportunities to streamline fund accounting processes and improve reporting efficiencies.• Implement best practices in fund accounting and financial controls.Ad-Hoc Projects:• Participate in various special projects as needed, including system implementations, investor relations support, and other strategic initiatives.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.• CPA designation preferred.• 4+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably in Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Hedge Funds. Or coming straight out of Public Accounting• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and fund structures.• Proficiency with fund accounting software and Microsoft Excel.• Experience with complex partnership accounting, including carried interest and waterfall calculations.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.SE# 510685842
