The Team
Join our growing world wide corporate legal team of more than 12 attorneys and paraprofessionals working on matters such as international corporate structuring, product formation, public company preparedness, and equity financings to further Kraken’s mission.
This is a fully remote role for a Corporate Secretary/Paralegal/Legal Assistant in the EU/UK.
The Opportunity
Corporate Governance:
Manage and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in accordance with Irish and European corporate laws.
Facilitate and organize board meetings, annual general meetings, and other corporate gatherings.
Maintain and update corporate records, registers, and documentation.
Communication:
Act as point of contact for the European legal team on matters of corporate governance and subsidiary management.
Liaise with external legal counsel and professionals as necessary.
Prepare correspondence, communications and reports to support legal function matters
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records, including minute books, resolution.,
Maintain the legal knowledge management system for EU/UK corporate matters.
Skills you should HODL
2+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal or legal assistant; mix of large law firm and/or in-house experience preferred;
Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, law, legal studies, or a related field, if in a civil law jurisdiction a qualification in business law or first state exam or its equivalent.
First experience as either a Company Secretary or corporate paralegal with a focus on European corporate law.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (second European language is a bonus).
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
Relevant CoSec qualification preferred
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in Ireland, the UK or other European jurisdictions.
Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar)
Experience with regulated financial services firms
