The Senior Compliance Associate, will sit within the UK wider Compliance Team and report to the UK CCO. They will be responsible for ensuring the performance of operational compliance controls, regulatory compliance and CASS processes within the firm.
Assist in ensuring that the Multilateral Trading Facility complies with all relevant regulatory requirements set forth by the FCA.
Assist with the oversight of CASS operations and provide guidance in relation to CASS rulebook.
Oversee adherence to financial regulations and standards, including those set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and ensure that the MTF operates within legal and ethical boundaries.
Assist in developing, updating, and implementing compliance policies and procedures. Ensure that these are communicated effectively within the organisation.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential compliance issues. Report findings to the CCO and relevant committees.
Provide compliance training to employees and offer guidance on compliance matters, especially in relation to trading activities.
Collaborate in identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks and ensure effective risk control measures are in place.
Assist with the regulatory reporting where needed.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster a compliance culture within the organisation.
Coordinate and liaise with Kraken Global Compliance to ensure alignment between global, regional and local compliance policies, procedures, and operations, if needed.
Relevant experience in compliance within the financial services sector, preferably in a trading facility or similar environment.
Knowledge of UK financial regulations environment guidelines (MiFID II, MAR, MiFIR, SMCR, IFPR, CASS, etc)
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively analyse risk and apply sound judgement in a timely manner
Practical knowledge of compliance risk management techniques
Proactive, organised and comfortable with navigating ambiguity
Strong ethical standards and integrity.
