A Sr. Legal Systems Analyst is responsible for owning and managing various Legal SaaS applications and integrations, with a strong focus around contract lifecycle management, supporting multiple business functions within the global Legal department at Kraken.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integrating and automating legal systems, such as Agiloft, and will be responsible for managing several other legal tools like eBilling, Entity Management, eDiscovery, IP Management and Dashboards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and excellent project management skills to drive efficiency and innovation in our legal processes.
Our team (Business Solution) works closely with our stakeholders across Finance and Legal etc. to provide technology solutions and services to enable them for success in carrying out business operations & launching strategic business projects.
As a Sr. Legal Systems Analyst you will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders to drive and implement projects to meet the business goals and objectives of Kraken’s global Legal department. You will be the acting SME on Finance and Legal business processes to engage and partner with leaders and key stakeholders to architect solutions and implement them. You will be responsible for defining standards and best practices for Legal implementation and support. As a Senior, you are expected to oversee project implementations by professional services and SI partners, and partner with 3rd party vendors on larger Legal projects. You will also lead and execute various technical initiatives focused on system optimization, security enhancements, as well as reliability and performance within the Legal landscape.
This role will require thorough knowledge and understanding of core Legal business processes, practices, and experience implementing and administering Legal systems for large enterprise companies. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Financial Systems.
Lead the implementation and integration of legal systems, including Agiloft, to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy
Administer and support legal tools such as Agiloft, SimpleLegal, Airtable, Docusign etc. ensuring they meet the needs of the legal team
Develop and implement automation and reporting solutions to enhance efficiency in legal operations
Oversee the management of intellectual property (IP), ensuring accurate tracking and documentation
Lead process discovery workshops and requirement gathering sessions to uncover business gaps, pain points and opportunities
Conduct design workshops with business stakeholders and cross functional teams to recommend best solutions on the Legal platform
Develop scalable solutions on the legal platform for the Global Legal teams for best in class user experience, performance and security
Work closely with business to explore opportunities to leverage Legal functionalities and features to improve Legal business processes and operations
Challenge existing business & IT processes, methods and systems for improving operations, security and scalability
Uphold the highest standards of application security and data integrity on the Legal platform and protect sensitive Legal data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Support the reporting needs of legal operations to design and develop insightful analytics solutions on the Legal platform
4+ years of configuration and administration experience in legal systems analysis, integration, and automation
Proven experience with tools such as Agiloft , SimpleLegal, Airtable, etc
Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex projects
Strong technical skills, including experience with system integration, automation, and data analysis
Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and data visualization tools is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proactive and innovative thinker with a focus on continuous improvement
Ability to work independently, and self-manage business deadlines and expectations
Prior consulting experience/ business process mapping experience is a plus
Experience working within the enterprise applications/Legal operations team of a hyper growth company with complex data and integrations will be a plus
Comfortable working on projects with ambiguity and able to handle multiple projects at the same time
Experience working with internal and external audit teams to conduct SOX, SOC type of audits
