These procedures include processing electronic payment methods such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check payments• Be knowledgeable and adhere to the regulations for approving and tendering merchant coupons, restrictions on cash deficits, and loss prevention guidelines• Don't forget that your fellow associates can also benefit from our sales and services. Be sure to keep them informed and provide any necessary training so that they can also effectively promote our offerings to customers• Attend to phone inquiries and assign priority levels to each of them based on their significance• Effective stock maintenance involves proper labeling and categorizing of products, regularly checking for and addressing any damaged or expired goods, and monitoring the inventory turnover rate to avoid overstocking or understocking• Abide by the automated inventory control and management system's protocol for maintaining adequate levels of non-prescription drugs while minimizing loss, waste, and expiration of stock• Abide by the established standards of the department by keeping work stations and customer waiting areas clean and orderly• Encouraging a feedback culture can provide insights on customer preferences and expectations, which can be used to serve them better and make them feel appreciated• Comply with and emphasize all safety and hygiene programs and procedures according to the company and local, state, and federal health code regulations. Take note of any dangerous conditions and alert store management to take appropriate action• Comply with the local, state and federal regulations, and report any criminal activity, such as stealing, robbery or deception• With or without reasonable assistance, the job applicant must possess the capacity to effectively undertake the necessary functions
