Job Overview:

As a Lab Service Specialist, you would be responsible for assigning workload to phlebotomists to ensure timely collections of specimens and proper transport to the appropriate sections of the laboratory. Additional responsibilities include providing test result information to authorized persons in a timely manner and performing other associated clerical duties in a manner to assure the effective functioning of the Reception/Specimen Collection areas. Phlebotomist responsibilities include timely collection and correct identification of specimens from patient for expeditious transport to appropriate laboratory section for testing.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• High school diploma or GED
• BLS (basic life support) certifications
