Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position requires a professional who is adept at both detailed accounting tasks and strategic financial management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and manage budgeting processes.Create financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning.Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis.I
Internal Controls and Compliance:Establish and maintain robust internal controls.Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and company policies.Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings.
Financial Analysis:Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Strategic Planning:Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies.Contribute to long-term financial planning and risk management.Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership:Supervise and mentor accounting staff.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Ensure continuous professional development of the accounting team.
Employee Benefits Administration:Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.Handle enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits.Liaise with benefits providers to address employee concerns and issues.
HR Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.Support audits and compliance reviews related to HR activities
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role within a fast-paced environment.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.High level of integrity and professionalism.
