IT Business Analyst

The Business Analyst serves the vital function of translating business requirements into functional requirements for use by our software development team. This position will work closely with product management and key project stakeholders to identify the specifications and criteria to which developed software will be upheld. The Business Analyst will then deliver this information in the form of detailed, technically-minded user stories to enable the software development process. Additionally, this position will be a major driver in refining our agile software development life cycle practices and standards.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners and project stakeholders to understand business requirements, project scope, and business processes. 
  • Create business process flow diagrams, user interface mockups, and system flows to effectively communicate design goals and requirements to software developers. 
  • Perform work breakdown following agile project management standards and record structure in project management system. 
  • Write detailed and well-organized requirements documentation at the epic, feature, and user story level. 
  • Collaborate with software testing analyst to develop user acceptance criteria, test cases, and test plans. 
  • Conduct demos of completed software and field inquiries of function and design on behalf of the software development team. 
  • Attend team daily scrum, regular project meetings, and all other team functions and project management ceremonies. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
