Think empowered building owners, operators, and residents with secure access.Led by CEO Jamie Siminoff's visionary expertise, we're shaping the future of spaces.About The RoleAs a Hardware Quality Engineer at Latch, you will play a key role in upholding the integrity and reliability of our hardware products. The role primarily focuses on failure analysis for devices that return with issues. This includes handling a large volume of devices, conducting failure analysis, opening up devices to identify issues, documenting findings, testing, shipping, and assembling devices for shipment.Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive root cause analysis on product failures or issuesIdentify high-risk failure modes in engineering developmentEnsure products adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirementsOwnership of product failure data collection, reporting, and analysisSupport with technical emergency requests and timely response to alerts as needed.Perform testing and shipping of devices.General requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldProficiency in quality analysis tools and softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environmentFamiliarity with embedded systems and electrical designUnderstanding of standard communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, RS232)Ability to follow and create SOP’s relative to Failure AnalysisInterview Process:We want to find if you are a good match, but just as important, throughout the process we want you to find if we are a good match for youSteps:• An introductory call with our Recruiter: learn more about the project and tell us about your past experience and what you are looking for in your next role.• Team Interview with different team members.
