The New Business Intake department is US firm-wide scope since the New Business Intake process impacts all lawyers and business conducted by the firm.

What will your day look like?
As an Lateral Intake Specialist, you will support the firm’s critical risk management function by performing all duties associated with conflicts of interest reporting related to the onboarding of new lateral candidates, including: conducting research on corporate business structures; reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting conflicts search results; generating conflicts reports; utilizing conflicts applications and research methods in order to assess potential legal and business conflicts; providing a foundational understanding of potential business and ethical conflicts to Conflicts Analysts and Professional Responsibility Counsel, and working with the New Business Intake Lateral Team on the resolution of conflicts; communicating with partners in order to assist in the processing of lateral candidate requests and the resolution of conflicts.
You will conduct research and analyze the corporate business structure and history of potential clients and adversaries. You will be responsible to review, analyze and interpret complex conflicts search results as part of the conflict analysis and reporting process and pursuant to the rules of professional conduct. In addition, you will generate conflict reports and follow up on outstanding conflict requests, often performed on an urgent basis.
