Business Development Manager

Position Title: International Business Development Manager

Location: Bethesda, MD (On-Site)

Compensation: Permanent position, $70K-$90K base salary

Citizenship: US Citizen due to legal contracts and nature of work

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager focused on the international market. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team, including international and domestic members, engineering staff, end-users, and partners/clients. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager, Product Line Marketing Managers, and Operations Manager, as well as engage with customers, distributors, and US government agencies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet financial objectives and maximize revenues, profitability, and growth for assigned regions/customers.
  • Identify evolving operational requirements, new business opportunities, and implementation activities to support initiatives in assigned regions/customers.
  • Develop and maintain connections with end-users, procurement organizations, and distributors.
  • Direct and coordinate the promotion of products/services to open new markets, increase market share, and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Build relationships and opportunities with US government agencies and officials to support international marketing and business activities.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop the strategic and tactical vision, and implement work plans that fulfill strategic goals.
  • Ensure timely completion of customer meetings, presentations, responses to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and other related activities.
  • Support tradeshows, customer demonstrations, and training sessions to effectively showcase product features and benefits to potential clients.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of products and services while staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:
  • Background in business development and sales for companies serving the law enforcement and defense markets.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
  • Familiarity with government relations related to foreign military sales.
  • Preferred education in Business Administration
