Capture Manager (Remote)

Salary: $140,000 - 160,000/year with bonuses based on wins. Total Compensation 200k/year+

This position is remote / work from home. Candidates must be local to the DMV for meetings.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Capture Manager to join our team, focusing on federal government contracts in support of health agencies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully capturing IT service contracts and possess a strong understanding of federal procurement processes, particularly within the healthcare sector. You will play a critical role in identifying, pursuing, and winning strategic opportunities to expand our portfolio.


Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Identification: Research and identify potential federal contracting opportunities within health agencies, including NIH, CDC, and other relevant organizations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement capture strategies for targeted opportunities, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and win strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government personnel, partners, and subcontractors, to enhance collaboration and positioning.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of proposals in collaboration with technical and operational teams, ensuring compliance with government requirements and alignment with customer needs.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business development, operations, and finance, to ensure a cohesive approach to capture efforts.
  • Bid Management: Oversee the entire bid process from pre-proposal activities to submission, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about trends in federal health IT, regulations, and policy changes that may impact capture efforts and strategy.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track performance metrics for capture activities, providing regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes.


Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in capture management, business development, or proposal management within the federal government contracting space, specifically in IT services for health agencies.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, including FAR and agency-specific regulations, and experience with health agency contracts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in capture management tools and proposal development software (e.g., MS Office Suite, proposal management software).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and lead initiatives effectively.
