Engineering Technician (Harness or Power Supply Assembly Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician with hands-on experience in harness and/or power supply assembly. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics, mechanical systems, and electrical wiring, with the ability to assemble, test, and troubleshoot wiring harnesses, power supplies, and related systems. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to support the design, development, and manufacturing of electrical components. This position is a 6 month contract to hire.

• Assembly of Wiring Harnesses: Build and assemble complex wiring harnesses according to engineering specifications, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Power Supply Assembly: Assemble, test, and troubleshoot power supply systems, ensuring that they meet performance and safety standards.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct electrical and functional tests on assembled systems, identify issues, and ensure proper functionality.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults in harness and power supply systems, working with engineering teams to improve designs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assemblies, test results, and modifications made during the build process.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and safety regulations, performing visual inspections and tests to verify the quality and functionality of assemblies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production staff to interpret designs, provide feedback on manufacturability, and suggest improvements.
• Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment used in harness and power supply assembly.
