Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Schedule: (Hybrid:1-2 days remote, otherwise on-site)
Overview:
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for providing support in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance. This role is ideal for individuals with 1-2 years of HR experience who are looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientations, and facilitating training sessions.
Maintain accurate records of employee information and ensure compliance with hiring procedures and legal requirements.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Address employee concerns and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints or grievances, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.
Performance Management:
Support the performance management process by assisting in goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
Track and maintain performance appraisal records, ensuring completion within established timelines.
Collaborate with managers to identify performance improvement opportunities and develop appropriate action plans.
Training and Development:
Coordinate training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Assist in the development of training materials and resources, as well as scheduling training sessions.
Evaluate training effectiveness and gather feedback to continuously improve learning experiences.
HR Administration:
Maintain HRIS (Human Resource Information System) databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Generate reports and metrics on HR-related activities, such as turnover rates, recruitment statistics, and training completion.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
Compliance:
Stay informed about federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in HR practices.
Assist in conducting audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
Support efforts to maintain a safe and inclusive work environment free from discrimination and harassment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
1-2 years of experience in human resources or related role.
Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
