Proposal Development Writer (Federal/GovCon Experience)

Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and talented Proposal Development Writer to join our team and play a critical role in the development of compelling, compliant, and persuasive proposals for federal government contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal business development, proposal writing, and familiarity with the intricacies of the Government Contracting (GovCon) environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft winning proposals that align with solicitation requirements and strategic goals. This position offers 3 days of remote work per week.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop, write, and edit compliant and compelling proposals in response to federal government Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation types.
  • Collaborate with business development teams, capture managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and translate technical, management, and past performance content into clear and persuasive narratives.
  • Ensure proposals meet all compliance requirements, including format, style, and technical specifications outlined in federal solicitations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of proposal content to identify and address gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage proposal outlines, templates, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient proposal submissions.
  • Maintain a repository of reusable content, including templates, boilerplate language, and frequently requested information.
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing key solicitation requirements to guide proposal strategy and approach.
  • Participate in color team reviews (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold) to refine and finalize proposal content.
  • Stay current on industry trends, federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and best practices in proposal writing and government contracting.
