There really isn’t many other than the occasional difficult people I encounter at work.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
At Cardinal Health we embrace differences to drive the best outcomes. It’s the right thing to do; it’s also the smart thing to do. We believe that leveraging the power of D&I gives us a competitive business advantage.
We are committed to building a diverse workforce and an inclusive workplace that values the unique perspective and contributions of all of our employees – a workplace where every employee can bring 100% of themselves to work every day.
Respecting and appreciating diversity of thought, experience and background helps us improve performance, understand our customers better, and recruit and retain top talent. As we become more inclusive, we are also becoming more innovative, increasing employee engagement and improving customer and shareholder value. Research shows that diverse and inclusive workplaces consistently outperform non-inclusive and non-diverse workplaces and tend to create more innovative solutions.

At Cardinal Health, our mission is this: For those tasked with navigating the complexities of healthcare, Cardinal Health brings scaled solutions that help our customers thrive in a changing world.
What we value:
Our values are a foundation of who we are, what we believe, and what we do.
Together we create healthier, stronger communities.
Cardinal Health Gives Back means that we bring our best efforts to tackle challenging issues and our employees all around the globe are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work. We volunteer our time, energy, and dollars to the causes most important to us. We run, walk and bike to raise research funds. Here’s some of the ways Cardinal Health gives back:
Employee Activism: Through personal contributions, matches from our Foundation, and various grants, our employees donate more than $2 million to nonprofit organizations each year.
Cardinal Health Foundation: The Cardinal Health Foundation matches employee contributions dollar-for-dollar for health-related organizations and twenty five cents on the dollar for all others. Nearly every nonprofit organization that our employees care about qualifies for the match, up to $1,000 per employee per year. The Cardinal Health Foundation is also providing grant funding to six community health centers over three years (Grant funding began on July 1, 2022).
At Cardinal Health, we are passionate about giving back. Our philanthropic efforts focus primarily on three key initiatives: investing in healthcare and community health, supporting our employees' commitment to their communities, and fighting prescription drug misuse.
Generation Rx: Cardinal Health has been deeply committed to finding and supporting solutions to the public health crisis of prescription drug misuse since 2008. Generation Rx was founded at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and has been powered through a partnership with the Cardinal Health Foundation. Generation Rx is an evidence-informed prevention education and awareness program designed for anyone to use to educate people of all ages about safe medication practices and the potential dangers of misusing prescription medications. As of 2022, Generation Rx has impacted millions from its environmental impact and educational programming. Audience participants gain knowledge and intentions to engage in safe medication practices.
Disaster Relief: From wildfires and tornadoes in the United States to tsunamis and cyclones around the globe, Cardinal Health and its employees have sprung into action, time after time, to help those in urgent need.

Employee Resource Groups
Cardinal Health recognizes the differences our employees bring to the workplace. We leverage the unique ideas and perspectives of our employees to create an inclusive work environment. You can find a rewarding career that allows you to make a positive impact on customers and communities.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a vital resource for both our business and our workforce. ERGs provide our employees a place where likeminded individuals who share interests, passions, and a common bond or background, can come together to offer support and encouragement. Below is a list of all the ERGs currently supported at Cardinal Health:

The mission of the Asian Pacific American Network is to contribute to Cardinal Health becoming a great place for Asian talent to work and advance their careers, while creating sustainable competitive advantages in the global healthcare marketplace by fostering partnerships with various stakeholders.
The mission of the Disability Advocates Network is to create an environment where Cardinal Health can attract, retain and leverage the talents of employees with disabilities and support engagement of those employees by removing barriers that may limit their success.
PROUD’s goal is to influence Cardinal Health in achieving a more fully inclusive cultural environment that embraces equality where LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and other) employees feel welcomed and valued, allowing them to bring 100% of themselves to work.
The mission of ¡HOLA! is to develop leaders, serve its community and be a platform for Hispanic cultural awareness within Cardinal Health. Each member and their individual experiences are embraced to foster a unique and inclusive environment where everyone is welcome.
The goal of the Veterans and Military Advocates ERG is to provide a diverse and inclusive employee resource group that offers volunteer opportunities, supports veteran-aligned causes and provides programs to further veteran retention at Cardinal Health.
