Proposal Manager

The Proposal Manager will support the Business Development (BD) team, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. This role is responsible for developing compliant, high-quality, and timely proposal content throughout the proposal lifecycle for DoD and Federal customers. It is a hybrid, full-time, mid-level position that requires the ability to learn and apply new skills in proposal management.

This role will primarily be performed remotely, with occasional travel to the National Capital area.

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies and a bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Professional Writing, Creative Writing, or a related field; four (4) additional years of proposal writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies may be substituted for the degree.
• Expert skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in project management functions including resource planning, scheduling, and task delegation.
• Demonstrated proficiency with technical writing/editing.
• Demonstrated team leadership and management skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of version control management practices and technologies.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a US DoD Government Clearance at Secret level or higher.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required.

• APMP Foundation Certification or equivalent knowledge of best practices in proposal development.
• Completion of Shipley Core courses or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and other web-based collaboration applications.
• Local to Northern Virginia is helpful, but not required.
