Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and manage our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role starts off as an onsite position for the first 3 months and then transitions into a hybrid role.


Day to Day Duties
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
  • Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and incorporate improvements.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


$75,000 - $95,000 a year
