Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, with expertise in optimizing production processes, implementing advanced manufacturing technologies, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role involves leading engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Process Optimization and Improvement:
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
- Advanced Manufacturing Technologies:
- Identify and evaluate new manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve production capabilities.
- Lead the implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing, automation, and precision machining.
- Ensure the integration of new technologies aligns with production goals and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing defects and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain robust quality management systems.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality, to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Conduct process audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the manufacturing team.
