Workday Project Manager - job 1 of 2

We are seeking a skilled Workday Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation and integration of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financial Management systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a deep understanding of Workday software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This is a hybrid contract with a duration of up to one year.

• Lead the end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases for Workday implementations.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Coordinate resources, tasks, and activities across multiple teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables
• Serve as the subject matter expert on Workday functionality, configurations, integrations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements using Workday capabilities.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions to gather requirements, provide updates, and drive decision-making processes.
• Develop change management strategies and plans to ensure smooth adoption of Workday systems by end-users.
• Support organizational readiness assessments, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation support activities.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure the quality and accuracy of Workday configurations and data.
• Implement corrective actions and improvements based on feedback and lessons learned from previous projects.

• Proven experience managing Workday HCM projects from initiation to completion.
• 2+ years of Workday experience
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working in or with a large organization.
• Workday HCM, Workday EM/PM, or PMP certification(s) is a plus.
