About the opportunity:
The Communications Coordinator is a new role that sits within the Partnerships & Engagement team. This team is dedicated to mobilising communities to take action to end homelessness, including raising funds for our critical programs, and working to disrupt the stigma that surrounds people experiencing homelessness.
This role is central for bringing to life Launch Housing’s growth strategies, telling our brand story through compelling external communications and engagement expertise, and mobilising new and existing supporters to donate, advocate and take action to end homelessness in Melbourne. The role also helps link vulnerable people seeking support with services available at our sites. Pivotal to success in this role are strong writing skills, excellent relationship development skills, and a flair for design.
We are seeking a creative thinker, who can transform complex information into impactful corporate communications. Someone who is hand-on and just as happy writing a speech for a national conference as they are preparing a PowerPoint presentation, writing and designing a brochure, or coordinating content to develop a prospectus. A person who is a confident and diplomatic communicator, who enjoys enabling staff and working collaboratively across channels will thrive in this exciting new role.
While the primary focus is on the Launch Housing brand, this role may also support projects for our social enterprise HomeGround Real Estate, or the Melbourne Zero campaign which aims to end rough sleeping in Melbourne by 2030.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity for 45.6 hours per fortnight, and is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from our Collingwood office and from home.
Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and will close on 9 March 2025. For any questions about the role, please contact Janita Suter on janita.suter@launchhousing.org.au.
