Renewals Manager

About the Job:

As a Renewals Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the renewal lifecycle for our current customers while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Additionally, by managing and monitoring retention and customer usage goals, you will work towards our company’s shared goal of zero-lapsed renewals and identify areas of opportunity for our account teams. You will thrive in this role if you are an excellent cross-collaborator, as you will need to partner with many different teams in the Revenue organization to secure on-time renewals and provide positive customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a renewal strategy to retain and grow our client base
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of client renewals, identifying risks & ensuring on-time customer retention and high renewal rates
  • Maintain and report an accurate forecast of renewals; accurately maintain and update a rolling 120-day forecast of your portfolio and communicate any renewal risk to leadership to develop resolution strategies
  • Manage the renewal process with customers, including renewal quotes, renewal opportunities, and order forms; work closely with Customer Success, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure all contracts are accurate
  • Identify customer dependencies, uncover blocking issues, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewal to on-time closure
  • Ensure your customers have completed the renewal process before the renewal date by confirming paperwork and data to ensure accuracy in SalesForce and closing opportunities
  • Discover and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities upon contract renewal to maximize customer growth
  • Verify contracts data integrity of all quotes, and review terms & conditions to ensure renewal subscriptions are in line with company guidelines and policy

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in Renewal, Operations, CS, Sales, or Account Management
  • Strong customer management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities, and meet deadlines daily
  • Strong process management, financial acumen, and the ability to apply strict policies.
  • Experience with contract language interpretation
  • Proven success utilizing sales and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members such as Account Executives and Solutions Engineers.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail while working on various renewal opportunities
  • Experience working independently and is self-directed

Pay:

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 2 or 3:

Level 2

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City Metropolitan Area: $88,000-104,000 OTE***
  • Zone 2: Boston, DC, Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Seattle: $80,000-$94,000 OTE
  • Zone 3: All other US locations: $75,000-$88,000 OTE

Level 3

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City Metropolitan Area: $107,000 - $126,000 OTE
  • Zone 2: Boston, DC, Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Seattle: $96,000 -$113,000 OTE
  • Zone 3: All other US locations: $91,000 - $107,000 OTE

LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, degree level, and location.

*Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.

**Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.

***On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and 5% commission
