Lead Full Stack Engineer (AI-powered Web App)

What we are building

At Mimica, we're pioneering a novel approach to automation: our AI learns just by observing you work. Our software records users' clicks and keystrokes as they perform a task, uses ML to identify key steps, decisions, and repetition within this dataset, and then generates a “blueprint” for RPA bots. At the core of our ML pipeline is a technology translating noisy low-level computer actions into a clean, human-readable representation.

What you will own

In this role, your mission will be to expand the capabilities of our Mapper product. You will own the implementation of new features, tooling, and integrations as well as the release of improvements to existing functionality end-to-end. As a founding member of our engineering team, you‘ll have the opportunity to shape our technical direction, processes and culture.

Part of your day-to-day

• Developing a data visualisation tool and dashboard that display workflows and metrics in novel ways
• Together with our ML team, building interactive UIs and frontend services that enable users to edit graph data and re-train models through their input
• Creating libraries and building APIs in our Node backend to interact with ML services
• Participating in architectural decisions and collaborating across teams to identify and implement product improvements
• Providing feedback to peers through pair programming and code reviews as well as mentoring and helping level up those around you
• Taking on people management responsibilities as we scale
• Actively participating in hiring to help us grow

Requirements

• Passion for building robust front-end and back-end systems by contributing to both architecture and engineering
• Proficiency in JavaScript and desire to work with a range of modern web development technologies (React/Redux, TypeScript, NodeJS, MongoDB, etc.)
• Proven ability to deliver projects from start to finish – speccing, architecture, development, testing, deployment, release, monitoring
• Advocacy of engineering best practices with a focus on writing clean modular code, continuous delivery, automated testing, and maintainability
• Drive to continually develop your skills and help upskill fellow engineers by leading workshops on new tools, languages, or frameworks
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
