Position Overview
As a Warehouse Team Leader within the Systems Operations Management-Manufacturing organization, your primary role will be to ensure parts are picked based on the methods used in the respective warehouse area and be responsible for the accuracy of the material delivery. In addition, the Team Lead offers support and guidance to employees in warehouse proficiency, training, setup, proper care and use of tools, knowledge of process control documents, and safety requirements. The Team Lead will also support the warehouse operations by filling in for the supervisor in his/her absence. The individual in this position will also be required to fulfill other duties as assigned for the successful operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Verifies accuracy of Warehouse Operations activities.
- Serves as key liaison with other departments, customers and third parties to obtain information and address service and process issues.
- Briefs management on Warehouse Operations activity status and issues.
- Addresses business critical carrier, vendor and other Warehouse Operations issues.
- Monitors team activity and makes recommendations to management about load balancing and other resource / deployment issues.
- Recommends, develops and implements process improvements to enhance team effectiveness.
- Assists management in developing / drafting departmental procedures to ensure adherence to and compliance with all internal and external rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
- Prior leadership experience and/or demonstrated leadership ability
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficient with Oracle or other WMS system preferred
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Diebold Nixdorf experience and/or knowledge preferred
- Ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing and/or walking for long periods of time
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with Lean Warehouse methodology preferred
- Willing and able to operate powered industrial equipment including walkies, reach truck, stand ups proper training and safety standards will be provided
