ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Division Head for Elder Law, you will lead initiatives that ensure LEAP delivers the most effective combination of AI, software, legal content, and management advice specific to Elder Law. Your expertise will guide the development of AI tools that help law firms maximise revenue while providing exceptional value to their clients. You will also contribute to shaping the future of AI in legal technology, becoming part of the change in how the legal sector approaches AI-driven solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the development and integration of AI-driven legal technology solutions in Elder Law.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with legal best practices and client needs.
  • Provide strategic insights to enhance LEAP’s offerings based on your Elder Law experience.
  • Manage a customer success team to help law firms successfully adopt AI.
  • Oversee a sales and marketing team to cultivate relationships with Elder Law firms, understanding their challenges and opportunities.
  • Drive innovation in Elder Law AI applications and ensure high-quality legal content.
  • Work closely with a supportive team, contributing to case strategy and ensuring cohesive progress Wills and Estates product content.
  • Provide legal expertise in drafting and reviewing content for estate planning products, including wills, trusts, as well as estate administration tools including probate services and family provision claims.
  • Collaborate with the Forms Designer Team and Database Design Team a to ensure that all product-related content (forms, templates, instructions) is legally sound, clear, and user-friendly.
  • Contribute to creating product-specific content, ensuring it is accurate and compliant.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially when reviewing and drafting legal content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and legal sufficiency.
  • Ability to identify potential legal risks and propose solutions that ensure content is both legally sound and user centric.
  • Familiarity with estate planning and estate administration law across different jurisdictions, and the ability to create content that complies with varying laws.
  • Ability to analyse user feedback and legal challenges within product development, providing legal solutions to improve product design and functionality.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Wills & Estates/Elder Law with in-depth knowledge of estate planning and/or estate administration.   
  • Passion for technology and its potential to transform the legal profession.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Management experience is highly regarded.
  • Specialisation in one Australian jurisdiction, with the eagerness and ability to research and learn other jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions related to estate planning and/or estate administration.
