The Learning and Development Trainer (Trainer) is responsible for executing the learning and development priorities for the company's training needs. The Trainer is responsible for developing, scheduling, and conducting group and/or one-on-one training, for both virtual and classroom settings, and training programs for field operations, clinical and non-clinical divisions, pharmacy operations, and from time-to-time corporate teams. The Trainer will personally deliver and facilitate live classroom, e-learning and virtual training sessions, coordinate, and validate e-learning programs to ensure necessary enrollment and registrations exist for learning plans and programs, and coordinate learning schedules for all learning activities and learning and development processes. The Trainer is responsible for ensuring classroom, attendee, and learning environment readiness, coordinating with physical locations, confirming learning schedules with hiring management for new or existing learners, and managing UAS employee learning cycles start to finish. The Trainer is responsible for ensuring all training evaluations, program documentation, and record keeping are completed, and makes the final determination if learners are approved to proceed through various compliance and learning check points necessary, to enable and ensure job and skill competency sufficient to perform clinical allergy specialist or other roles. The Trainer will also coordinate and manage ongoing training and repeated or remediation training, in coordination with Learning and Development division standards, management requirements, or for other needs.

Performs both as trainer and facilitator for clinical and non-clinical training for employees. Provides training programs including clinical skills for allergy clinic operations, clinical protocols and processes, as well as operational and administrative clinic processes as per the UAS allergy center cycle.

Utilizes and ensures competence delivering training in multiple mediums including, but not limited to; live classroom, virtual, e-learning, internal and external software solutions, and coordinating learning in more than one medium from time-to-time.

Coordinates and delivers complex and complete learning solutions (to include instructor-led sessions, virtual instructor-led sessions, e-learning courses, and training resources) using the best mediums to match subject matter and training objectives while applying appropriate learning principles and design techniques.

Conducts assessment and evaluation of learning activities within and external to the classroom or learning environment to ensure learning effectiveness and learner capabilities meet UAS requirements.

Provides coordination of the day-to-day teaching activities of multi-week learning programs and sessions,. Coordinates multiple assigned projects and communicates status updates to learners or management regarding learning plans.

Coordinates and ensures readiness of training program documentation needed for learners, management, and the business in a timely manner and prior to the start of training programs.

Provides learning program overviews to all applicable parties. Trains the field preceptors or other field resources supporting learning initiatives on all learning concepts, programs, and materials, to ensure proactive and complete awareness and accuracy, as well as a level of consistency, confidence, and competence with training across all clinics nationally.

Learns and fully utilizes e-learning, LMS, HCM systems, and authoring tools to deliver asynchronous training to all learners, and ensures learning, as assigned is completed in a timely manner.

Registers and provides support for e-learning programs to employees and management.

Collaborates with learning and development team members to design, develop, schedule, and launch the most effective training programs for UAS employees.

Skillfully oversees all assigned virtual and classroom learning delivery to ensure a successful and professional learning environment exists. Manages conversations in learning environments to ensure they are professional, respectful, and meet UAS standards.

Continuously and effectively evaluates training scores and training effectiveness based on feedback and quantifiable data, to enhance solution design and delivery, and recommends changes or enhancements to training in a timely manner.

Ensures training delivery continuously achieves the most successful outcome possible. Ensures learning is modified or adjusted to allow additional practice or study sessions when needed, to ensure all learners have the best chance of course success, regardless of prior background or initial skill level.

Ability to work within the UAS pharmacy location in Dallas, Texas Monday to Friday, when learning programs are in process. May also work within another local or remote facility to train learners, facilitate training, perform train-the-trainer activities, observe training programs at the clinic or organizational level or attend business meetings. A hybrid work from home location is also available when physical office location classroom training is not in session.

Education Completed: Bachelor’s degree in adult education, instructional design, or related field, along with three or more years of applicable direct training experience, or a bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ clinical training experience at United Allergy.
Background & Expertise: Experience as a corporate training coordinator or trainer of clinical or health care learning for a national health care organization. Experience teaching complex clinical and non-clinical learning content, organizing, and managing learning courses, systems, and attendees. Ability to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced, learning-focused, business environment. Ability to be thorough, practicable, and consistent with solutions that meet organizational objectives. Strong public speaking, organization, and presentation skills.
Applicable Experience: Experience in multi-media, e-learning, distance learning tools and design methods. Experience in adult learning principles and conducting activity in a structured learning life cycle (ADDIE or SAM).
Computer Literacy: Technical focus with intermediate to advanced level proficiency with MS Office. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in e-learning authoring software such as Articulate Storyline. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in web-based classroom tools that enable virtual instructor led training such as Adobe Connect and Workday Learning. Beginner to intermediate proficiency in visual and video design software such as applications within Adobe Cloud.
