Compensation:

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.


Expected Minimum Pay Rate: USD $58,700.00/Yr. Expected Maximum Pay Rate: USD $76,300.00/Yr. Responsibilities:

What You Will Do

As the Supervisor of Leave Administration you will lead the company’s leave of absence (LOA) programs supporting all retail, facilities and corporate offices in multiple states. The Leave Administration Supervisor establishes proper and timely and appropriate communication to team members to facilitate LOA compliance and processing including the integration of benefits and pay practices. The role leads a team of specialists, ensuring program administration according to policy, procedure and regulations. This job class requires specialized knowledge of leave and benefit requirements, human resources practices, government regulations, analytical skills and leadership ability.


How You Will Make A Difference

  • You will develop and maintain the process, procedures and documentation for centralized Leave of Absence administration and ensure the LOA team provides services consistent with performance standards and expectations.
  • You will recommend and implement best practices, process improvements and performance standards and reporting.
  • You will ensure that consistent process is followed and that documentation is updated and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • You will oversee integration of leave types and coordination with other functions such as benefits, payroll, TM Relations, Legal Department, Risk Management/Workers’ Comp Administrator
  • You will track and report on leave trends and results to senior management and stakeholders.
  • You will respond to questions and concerns from employees, managers and vendors to resolve a variety of issues relating to leave of absence leave types, eligibility and benefits.
  • You will perform complex analysis regarding expired leaves and works with Return to Work Coordinator/TM Relations on resolution (including separation of employment).
  • You will advocate and coordinate efforts to ensure best outcome for Raley’s and the team members
  • You will act as a resource to management on Leave of Absence programs, related HR policies and procedures, applicable laws, and potential interactions with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, trends and best practices in LOA administration and disability accommodation; developing and delivering educational presentations for leaders in basic leave and ADA compliance and laws.
  • You will acts as a servant leader to the LOA team and wider Health & Welfare department.

Must Haves
  • High School diploma with two (2+) or more years of experience in benefits administration or in a general human resources role demonstrating increasing level of responsibility. Prior leave administration experience or program lead experience is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of employee leave of absence and ADA accommodation policies, practices and applicable laws.
  • Knowledge of industry practices, federal and state laws and regulations related to LOA and the interactive process.
  • Ability to apply broad knowledge of professional principles and practices in employee benefits and leave practices.
  • Strong ability to adapt procedures and processes to accomplish the requirements of the position.
  • Strong ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing work priorities.
  • Ability to act in a responsive manner to customer inquiries and requests: escalates the more difficult matters as necessary.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Physical Demands
- Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Work is performed in a business office environment.
  • Occasional travel to outside locations or meetings may be required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as required, in support of the company’s business need.


Certifications

  • Preferred but not required: Certified Leave Management Specialist or other related certification or continuing education coursework.
