The Department of Family, Interiors, Nutrition & Apparel at San Francisco State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions (non-tenure track) in Apparel Design & Merchandising for the Fall 2023 / Spring 2024 term.
The Family, Interiors, Nutrition & Apparel (FINA) Department has been active in addressing quality of life issues at San Francisco State University for over a century and has firm roots in providing quality education that addresses trends and issues that impact the lives of individuals, families, and communities. The department's goal is to provide by a transformative student experience that advances understanding of contemporary issues that influence food, shelter, clothing, and relationship needs. Implicit within the four FINA programs is a commitment to addressing racial and social justice through curricula, self-expression, student engagement, and example. The core of each of the FINA programs is to encourage critical thought, diverse ways of understanding, and the development of ethical professional practices which will enhance the quality of life for those who our students will serve.

Salary
Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $4,530 – $6,056 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,405 – $11,994 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,190 – $13,172 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $7,794 – $13,797 per month
Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
