Job Summary Summary: The Director of Supply Chain Management is responsible for the formulation and approval of short and long range goals, objectives, plans and budgets for Supply Chain Management functions and the direction and operational functions of supply chain activities for Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) to include Central Distribution, Sterile Processing, Linen and Shipping... /Receiving. This position develops and directs the Supply Chain Management strategy, facilitating the delivery of specific programs and services to optimize non-salary expense reduction efforts by leveraging system-wide economies of scale while forming strong partnerships with internal and external customers. Director has two direct reports with a responsibility for approximately 100 employees. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, product utilization, process improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and performance measurements as well as integrating those services with partner institutions and vendors, where applicable. Ensures open communication on all levels including department personnel, managers, directors, executives and physicians. A major initiative will be interaction with physicians, other caregivers, and departments regarding refinement to the system-wide procurement program in order to maximize efficiency and savings, and gain their buy-in in the process. Job Requirements Responsibilities: Educational Requirements Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/ Preferred and/or Bachelor's Required and Additional Requirements Three or four years formal education or training beyond high school or B.S. or B.A. degree. Extensive experience may supplement educational requirement.
