We are looking for a Legal Coordinator to support our Executives Department.
Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the of flow legal-related information, data, and contracts throughout the organization. The position will work heavily on contract drafting, contract negotiating, and administrative tasks.
The position will work with the organization’s corporate counsel to draft contracts, internal policies, maintain organizational compliance, diagnose risks, respond to third-party assessments, resolve contract negotiations, track key agreements, summarize complex contracts, and track litigation matters. The focus of this position will be on governance, risk, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate contracts.
- File and organize legal documents.
- Identify internal risks and draft/revise corporate policies and procedures.
- Summarize key contract terms.
- Summarize regulatory rules and new law/regulatory updates.
- Understand and track internal usage of third-party data.
- Maintain all organization agreements and contract repository.
- Perform research on various legal and compliance matters.
- Respond to third-party information requests.
- Prepare documents for executive execution.
- Coordinate litigation strategy (subpoena response, document preservation, discovery response).
- Coordinate with third-party law firms.
- Maintain knowledge of all corporate entities.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and other third-party partners.
- Coordinate internal investigations.
- Provide responses to third-party assessments.
- Analyze and solve problems relating to processes and projects.
- Compose letters to third-parties.
Requirements:
- Four year degree preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience as a paralegal or legal coordinator.
- Experience at a large law firm is a plus.
- Experience at an in-house law department is a plus.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat (PDF), and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with DocuSign preferred.
- Excellent reading, writing and English skills.
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, be very organized, be able to manage multiple files at once.
- Strong research skills.
