Reed Smith has an opportunity for a Legal Recruiting Specialist to work with our Legal Recruiting team in our Chicago and Pittsburgh offices. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to providing support to our various Legal Recruiting initiatives and will work closely with our Chicago and Pittsburgh Legal Recruiting Managers. Recruiting duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of the law student recruitment process and summer associate program, new associate orientation and integration, and assistance with the recruitment of lateral attorneys for the Chicago and Pittsburgh markets.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a professional discipline required.
Experience: Law firm experience is preferred. Should have a demonstrated understanding of current market trends and philosophies.
Skills: Requires strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good judgment, a professional demeanor and the ability to provide an excellent first impression of the Firm. Must work well with all levels of Firm personnel, establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm and react to difficult situations appropriately. Confidentiality is essential. Must be highly motivated, creative, flexible, adaptable to change and results-oriented. Must have strong knowledge of MS Offices products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner, etc.
Typical Physical Demands: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment.
