As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will support and maintain the company’s internal and production systems by with security, automation, configuration, release management, and system maintenance.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring high availability of internal and production systems
- Ensuring implementation of company and business unit standard server technologies (Linux and Windows) and proper performance, optimization, and capacity standards
- Leading the implementation of IT infrastructure, Engineering DevOps projects, and AWS solutions, including cloud architecture design, deployment, and management.
- Providing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud services, while automating workflows and optimizing development processes.
- Developing and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams
- Performing software deployments and releases
- Participating in on-call coverage to support systems outside of normal business hours
- Performing system maintenance procedures, even during non-business hours and weekends
- Assisting in resolving network issues when one of the current System/Network Admin staff members is unavailable
- Assisting developers and QA Engineers in applying testing environment changes such as DB updates, property changes, and others
- Following up with developers regularly to ensure that Release Plans are updated properly
- Supporting and coaching development teams as they transition to managing their own product deployments and releases
To qualify for the role, you should have experience in most of the following:
- AWS Cloud Computing Solutions (Required)
- Terraform and other laC tools
- Docker, Jenkins, Apache, TomCat, WordPress, and Testlink
- Networking, IDS/IPS, and SAN
- Server computing (Linux and Windows administration)
- Virtualization (HyperV, VirtualBox, and VMWare)
- Encryption
- VPN (SonicWall/OpenVPN)
- ITIL Standards
- DB Administration (MySQL)
- Command line scripting: BASH PowerShell, DOS Batch, etc.
- Source code management: GIT and GIT services like Bitbucket
Development skills that employ/use other applicable requirements such as:
- Ability to use AWS in code scripts, not just navigating the AWS website dashboard
- Proficiency in creating and modifying Docker YAML files, beyond basic click-and-drag operations
- Skill in scripting to automate or adjust IP tables, rather than simple tweaking
