The Role
Legend is hiring a People Operations Specialist, reporting directly to our Head of People & Culture located in Halifax, Canada.
In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things people-related, helping to create a great employee experience from start to finish. You’ll be the connector, making sure global processes align with local needs and everything runs smoothly. You’ll also plan fun and impactful events—both in-person and remote—to help build a sense of community across our team.

Your Impact:- Act as a go-to person for people related questions or concerns and escalate as appropriate.
- Work closely with the global People Operations team to share local knowledge and complete employee lifecycle workflows and processes.
- Be the guardian of people facing documentation and data integrity.
- Proactively communicate process changes, events, and other updates to the team.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of our Halifax office, including maintenance and facilities, supplies, health & safety, and compliance.
- Organize in-person (Halifax & Toronto) and remote socials and events with a lens to make them meaningful, valuable and an opportunity to connect.
- Work closely with our Wellness and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging squads to create a healthy and inclusive work environment across our global team.
- Seek out and share the latest people and culture trends and best practices.
What You'll Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in office management and/or human resources.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to handle multiple priorities in a scale-up environment.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., HiBob, Lattice) and office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Slack).
- Experience managing vendors and office logistics is a plus.
- High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
The Interview Process: - 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
- 2nd: Interview with the Head of People & Culture (1 hour video via Zoom)
