Description
Leidos is seeking a Java Developer to join our existing long-term engagement at IRS. As a core member of the software development and modernization team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing application programming, testing, documentation and delivery of multiple existing and new applications whose primary purpose is to facilitate Tax Professionals interactions... with the IRS. You will support JAVA-based systems hosted primarily on Linux.

Responsibilities Include:
• Providing input to the task of identifying and implementing modernized applications to meet changing business needs
• Migrating existing legacy applications and legacy platforms to multi-tier EA compliant solutions
• Contributing to requirements gathering and documentation
• Under the direction of Sr. development staff, design, develop and test JAVA-based solutions and integration of COTS products
• Performing code upgrades to applications and maintaining technical documentation and/or administrative manuals
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
The ideal Java Developer will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years of recent Java development experience developing large scale enterprise solutions and shall be proficient in the following skill sets:
• React and HTML, CSS or JavaScript/XML
• Java/J2EE Technologies
• SQL
• Principles of OOAD and/or UML
• RESTful Web Services
• SPRING BOOT and SPRING Framework
• Junit or Mockito
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
• HIBERNATE
• JBoss EAP 7
• RHEL 7/8
• Maven
• Cloud computing experience
• Current valid IRS Public Trust MBI
Clearance Required:
• Candidates must be able to pass an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) security background check prior to start date.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant if not, candidate will not be considered.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
