Senior Data Scientist

This role would be serving a federal law enforcement agency from either the National Capital Region or Huntsville Alabama.The candidate possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.Member of an Agile Team that supports the development of cutting-edge Data Discovery capabilities and Multi-INT analytics, harnessing the power of AI/ML solutions for Pattern mining, Entity, Graph, Text, Audio, and Vision analytics with API-driven architectures.Primary Responsibilities:oResponsible for utilizing big data technologies and knowledge of data science models to analyze large amounts of data and create valuable insights.oDuties include:ofinding and designing new approaches to handling, analyzing, and using large volumes of data sets;oexploring fundamental issues with data handling, search, and retention; solving complex data and storage issues;odesigning new software coding to improve data search processes;odesigning, testing and validating the quality of the data and data processes;oanalyzing and reporting results with actionable recommendations.Basic Qualifications:oBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeo8-12 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.oStrong communication skillsoUS CitizenshipPreferred Qualifications:oExperience in Entity Resolution, developing and implementing methods to identify and link records across different data sources that represent the same real-world entity (e.g., person, organization, product).oExperience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for tasks like text classification, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition.oExperience with Natural Language Generation (NLG) models for tasks like text summarization.oDatabricks, Spark, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Python, Scala, CoreNLP, and Transformer foundational modelsoDOD Top Secret Clearance is required.Original Posting Date:2024-08-13While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
