Software Engineer

DescriptionLeidos Dynetics is seeking a Software Engineer to join a talented team within the Weapon System Technologies Department. The department performs radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, HWIL (hardware-in-the-loop) testing and weapons system analysis across a variety of both research and development and operational tasks.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn this role, project assignments could be focused in one or multiple of the following areas:• Design, develop, test, and maintain software leveraging agile concepts.• Develop tactical software for Leidos Dynetics developed radars, weapon systems, and HWIL testbeds.• Develop modeling and simulation and analysis tool packages used to support algorithm development, requirements development, testing, and prototype development of weapons systems.• Test, analyze, and debug complex software systems across multiple architectures and operating systems.Basic Qualifications• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 or higher GPA. In addition to 2-4 years of experience in software development or engineering.• Demonstrate a strong understanding of concepts including object-oriented design, data structures, and network communications,• Must have solid verbal, written, and visual communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.Must be a US citizen and be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama, or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with C++, Python, Linux, Git, and MATLAB are desired.Original Posting Date:2024-07-25While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
