Job will be a 9/80 work schedule (i.e., 9 hour days, then work 8 hours on first Friday and off the second Friday).Leidos offers many opportunities for career development and advancement.The successful applicant will be a part of a large, dynamic workforce.Learn more at https://www.leidos.com/employees/life and https://www.leidos.com/careers/lifeWhat You’ll DoSupport the upgrade of our customer’s operational environment to an upgraded platform and software product environment capable of Support operations.Collaborate with the team to design the best solution for successPlan, create, and implement a secure network architecture that meets the needs and goals of the customerLead by example, setting high standards for technical excellence, problem-solving, and proactive approaches to challenges.About YouOwns a problem to the endProud to share in team’s successAble to do your best work in a team setting and autonomouslyWants to grow a career with a great companyWhat You’ll BringBS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.REQUIRED Current Secret Security Clearance?At least 10 years of Network Engineering experienceProficiency in implementing Highly Secure Networks that follow the principles of modularity, hierarchy, redundancy, resiliency, security, and scalability.Minimum of 5 years of experience with Network Security implementing and managing various network security measures, such as encryption, authentication, authorization, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and more.Experience with NSA approved cryptographic communications security devicesExperience with Solaris Operating Systems, also Solaris Flash Archive and Solaris Jump Start ServerExperience managing disk arrays partitions – LUNs mappingsExperience with working as a Systems Administrator specifically in Unix/SolarisExperience with Unix AuditingExperience working with classified networksExperience with shell scripts such as BASH, CSH, SHExperience installing and implementing network hardwareExperience with Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)Experience with Network Analysis and OptimizationUse of current and emergent network design principles and protocolsExperience with multi-tenant network architectures.Responsible for safeguarding an organization’s computer systems and networks from security breaches, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.Familiarity with a wide variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors.Scripting languages such as Pearl, Python, coding for network threshold eventsEvaluate new technologies and make recommendations for network improvements.Develop and maintain network documentation for reference and compliance purposes.Extremely detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsYou Might Also Have:Security+ or other security certification (DoD 8570 approved security certification (i.e., Security +) will be required 90 days after hire).At Leidos, the opportunities are boundless.
